Matthews Benjamin was formed in 1993 by David Benjamin and Peter Matthews following the disposal of the longstanding and well regarded 5 office practice of Thompson Matthews. Opening first in Windermere expansion into Ambleside soon followed, securing a superb base for practicing in the central and southern Lake District. The company expanded further in 2006 when they took the opportunity of accepting an invitation to join the prestigious Fine & Country network, representing the brand across the Lake District and North Lancashire. This has enabled us to deliver another level of service at the upper end of the market with additional dedicated offices in Lancaster and Kendal, growing on our experience and reputation in dealing with quality properties.
